Cerny Most was the first modern shopping centre in the Czech Republic constructed in the 1980’s and was a single straight mall. It was extended to treble its footprint and create a modern contemporary retail loop incorporating the existing mall.
The high quality interior design is a major factor in the award winning success of the project along with the high quality retail units and iconic quality shopfronts.
Along with the usual construction duties of working with the local execution architect (Obermeyer Helika) and General Contractor (VCES) to deliver a high quality building, Peter’s key involvement was working with the retailers on their shopfront designs.
After authoring a design guide to set the aspirational bench mark for the retailers, Peter evaluated every shop design and provided design assistance to those retailers requiring creative help to enable them to achieve the highest design standard.
